Innovia Films has added downgauged grades to its BOPP squeezable Rayoface label facestock range.

Rayoface CZFA51 and WZFA51 are clear and white films respectively. Labels produced from these films are claimed to maintain their consistency and quality throughout the life of the container on which they are applied.

Innovia Films added that the thinner films mean more convertible square meters per roll and increased press uptime, when compared with other films.

Richard Southward, global product manager for labels at Innovia Films, added: ‘It reduces the number of reels required by up to 60 percent, effectively decreasing the number of pallets and the storage space required by half. This results in less packaging and reel handling costs.

‘The reduction in label material weight means that transport and logistics carbon footprint can be reduced by up to 45 percent.’

Innovia Films identified squeezable films as being popular with brand managers, especially in the home and personal care sector.

Southward continued: ‘The added bonus is that they are also food contact compliant under FDA and EU regulations and offer game-changing branding impact with their unprecedented clarity.’
